Health and Safety regarding COVID -19

While we take all efforts to create a space here at Garden of Yoga, we can not be held responsible for any transmission that may occur. If you are at a high risk we recommend you stay with our online classes for now.

We follow Victoria's vaccination requirements - all teachers and students must be fully vaccinated to attend in person sessions.

We follow government regulations regarding the need to wear a mask, if masks are currently required for indoors then you will need to wear one at our studio (unless you have an exemption). While the mask requirement is lifted for 'huffing and puffing' type high intensity exercise, that does not include yoga - we follow the guidelines outlined by Yoga Australia for the safety of our community.

Stay home if you experiencing any symptoms of illness or have been in contact with some who has COVID 19. You can always do one of our online classes instead.

Practice social distancing and cough/sneeze etiquette while at the studio - cough or sneeze into a tissue or elbow and wash your hands afterwards.

Wash or santise your hands on arrival and as necessary throughout your sessions.

Allow everyone who has finished a class plenty of room to leave the studio, and time for us to clean before entering.

Bring your own mat, towel, and any other small props (blocks, straps/theraband, peanut) that you like to use during the session to avoid sharing equipment where possible.

Book in - with only 4 places per class, bookings are essential and it also allows us to keep a record of who is in each session.

We also encourage downloading the COVID 19 tracing app to your phone.

As always, practice mindfully, listen to your body and carefully come out of any posture that is causing pain or discomfort. Always let the instructor know of any injuries or pre-existing conditions. Please be aware that we are unable to offer hands on assists in our aerial yoga classes so seek verbal assistance if you are experiencing any confusion.

By agreeing to our terms and conditions you are committing to:

Be kind to yourself

As with all physical activities, it is possible to hurt yourself practicing yoga, pilates and aerial yoga. It is a condition of practicing here that you are committing work mindfully within your limits and keep the instructor informed of any past or present health conditions (including pregnancy), taking responsibility for your body and your practice. Never push yourself to the point of pain and alway ask if you need clarification of a different variation.

Your safety and well being is our top priority, make it yours as well.

Be kind to each other

Treat all other students with respect. Please be on time and turn off your phone at the start of class. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

Be kind to us

We're a small studio, so no shows and last minute cancellations have a big impact. For this reason, if you cancel a session with less than 2 hours notice you will be charged the full cost for that class. See Multipass Conditions below.

Many of our popular times have waiting list, so we appreciate as much notice as possible, so we can fill your space. Your booking is also transferable, so feel free to give your spot to a friend if you need to cancel.

Our equipment is valuable, please help us take care of it! No jewellery, zippers, fake tan, make up or anything that could damage the fabric of the hammocks is allowed in our aerial yoga classes. And you must wear suitable clothing (tshirts, leggings or yoga pants).

Monthly Membership Terms and Conditions

When you sign up for our online and in-person subscriptions your credit card will be charged monthly, for the month ahead. If you wish to cancel we cannot refund any unused time, and make sure you do so before the next month's payments are deducted.

If we have to close the studio due to a lockdown or another reason we will pause payment/extend your pass until we can reopen again.

Memberships can be suspended if you are going on holiday or suffer illness or injury that prevents you from practicing. You can only suspend 3 times in a year period.
