Join our free Chair Yoga and Park Pilates classes!
We are delighted to be a part of the Autumn Get Active in Darebin Program running from Monday March 1st until April 23rd 2021.
This program is designed to be welcoming and inclusive to the whole community - everyone is welcome, there are options for all levels of fitness and experience.
Virtual Chair Yoga with Rane
Monday 9.30 - 10.30am
Join Rane for a fun and relaxing yoga practice based in a chair. Chair Yoga gives you the opportunity to experience familiar yoga moves in a new way and helps to make them accessible for more people. This is a great practice for older people or anyone working with injuries but there are options for everyone - including some great ways to build upper body strength, get a good stretch and to meditate. All without leaving the comfort of your chair!
Chair yoga is also a fantastic way to break up your work day - you can join the class live or check out our library of past classes.
We recommend you have a block or a thick book, a strap or theraband and a blanket or cushion. He will sometimes use a ball or peanut
Park Pilates with Jo
Friday 9.30 - 10.30am
All Nations Park Northcote, we meet near the corner of Separation St and Hopetoun St.
This class is suitable for all ages and all levels of experience with a friendly and welcoming vibe!
Pilates movements focus on stability and body awareness, with some gentle stretches and relaxation at the end.
Pilates is very adaptable for injuries and different needs - just let Jo know if you are working with any health conditions so she can give you options.
Bring your own mat or towel and sunscreen if required (there is plenty of shade available).
This class runs in all weather - we go to the covered area near the barbecues if it is raining.
