grocery list?

Dear Vegies and Pink- your theme doesn’t allow messages or comments, so I have reblogged. Hope it’s helpful for other people too xo

Here’s a list of the things we buy every week to make quick, easy, healthy and delicious vegie meals:

Lots of vegies!! Whatever you like, make sure there are lots of leafy greens- these will be the basis of most of your meals.

Flat breads- fill with salad, tofu, hummus (home made or bought), nuts, seeds and sprouts

Noodles/Rice/Quinoa- serve with stir fried vegies, flavoured with ginger, garlic, chilli, coriander (or whatever you like), add tofu, nuts or chickpeas for more protein.

Lentils/Chickpeas/Beans dried if you have the time, or tinned if you are feeling lazy- throw in a pot with vegies for a nutritious soup, whiz up in your blender with lemon, garlic and tahini for a tasty dip, or just mix into a salad for a complete meal.

We also have lots of fruit, seeds, soymilk and coconut yoghurt for smoothies. Nuts, muesli bars and dried fruit for snacks during the day. Muesli or porridge for a hearty breakfast with lots of fruit and seeds on top.

Whenever you make a soup or vegie burgers etc, do a big batch and put the spares in your freezer. I’ve put together a list of my favorite recipes here

so i have a couple of issues

  1. i’m a new vegetarian stuck (no really an issue) and….
  2. i don’t know what to put on my grocery list for Saturday to survive the week in school…
